About ATI Holidays

They say “it’s not what you do, but why you do it”. That’s the real story, and the message which drives us to create the best African experiences imaginable. Underpinning our efforts is the knowledge that tourism is Namibia’s only sustainable natural resource, and one which has the power to conserve, protect, and improve lives.

About the company

We are an owner-managed travel company based in Windhoek, Namibia. We have been operating since 1999 offering a wide range of holidays throughout Southern Africa.

Husband & wife team Charlotte Bond and David Cartwright both came to the industry from an environmental background, and this ethos has shaped and driven the company’s direction. Everything is tailored to meet our guest’s specific budgets and interests. All of our consultants are well educated, have travelled extensively, and are passionate about the region.

We are perfectly placed to arrange your ideal holiday. After leaving the UK almost 25 years ago, company founders David Cartwright and Charlotte Bond worked and travelled extensively in the region.

Their experience includes managing lodges and safaris in Botswana, flying commercially in South Africa and developing environmental management projects in Namibia.

Our Vision & Mission

To offer our guests the best possible experience of Namibia, to encourage their love of Namibia and Africa, of nature and of travel, and to open their eyes to the intrinsic value and unique beauty of Earth’s wild places.  To achieve this mission with minimal negative impact and maximum positive impact on the earth, its wildlife, and people.  To ensure our business uplifts communities & conservation projects by incorporating financial donations & volunteer hours, and by focusing on lodges with proven sustainable credentials.

Meet the team

David & Charlotte took over ownership of the company in 2002 and have enthusiastically grown & developed, adding new and exciting lodges and destinations whilst always maintaining their principle of personally visiting every area offered. They continue to run the company in conjunction with their enthusiastic, well-travelled and professional team of consultants.

Social Responsibility

Since our inception in 2002, we have offered financial and logistics support to a number of charitable projects in Namibia, and mentored start-up companies run by previously disadvantaged entrepreneurs.  We also take on interns who are studying tourism, hospitality, finance, and business management.

In February 2023 we started our ATI volunteer program, whereby every staff member spends one working day per month volunteering within our local community. So far the chosen projects include:

SPCA Windhoek

Physically Active Youth

Hope for Life

National Library of Namibia

and the Megameno Orphanage in Katutura
