Start your journey in the capital of Zimbabwe, where you will overnight in Harare. With an early morning start, head off to Musangano lodge, where you will spend two nights in Mutare, Zimbabwe’s forth largest city. Many Zimbabwean locals refer to it as ‘Kumakomoyo’ (place of many mountains).

 

Make your way  to Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge, spend two days exploring on foot or safari vehicles, visit to iconic Chilojo Cliffs, interact with the local Shangaan Tribes and soak up this authentic Africa experience, all under the excellent supervision of the resident professional guides, including the international award winning conservationist Clive Stockil.

 

Next stop is the lodge at the ancient city, you will spend one night at this unique hotel offers remarkable views across the valley of Msasa toward the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe. Matobo National Park, where a range of balancing rock formations created by erosion of the granite plateau, you will spend two nights at Big cave camp.

 

Bulawayo southwest Zimbabwe, is a gateway to Matobo National Park, wildlife includes rhinos and black eagles. Nearby, Tshabalala Game Sanctuary has zebra and impala. You will spend one night at Banff Lodge. Continue your journey to Ivory Lodge, the watering hole is frequently visited by elephants, predators and a number of other game species.

 

Spend your last night at Victoria Falls, the Kingdom hotel, centrally located within the small resort town of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, close to all the major attractions including the entrance to the Victoria Falls rainforest which is a short walk away.

Day 1: Home away from home

Harare

You will be transferred from Harare International airport to Armadale Lodge, is set in 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens with a lovely swimming pool. The gardens have been developed over many years and like they buildings they have an incredible charm. Breakfast and Dinner included.

Day 2-3: Spectacular scenery

Mutare

Your hired vehicle will be dropped off at 09:00 and you will begin the drive to Musangano Lodge, meaning ‘the place where people meet’ is tucked away on the lower slopes of a tree-covered hillside in the eastern district of Zimbabwe. Accommodation is in ensuite thatch chalets. Breakfast included.

Day 4-5: African Wilderness

Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge

This beautiful lodge is located in the Lowveld of Zimbabwe overlooking the Save River and the Gonarezhou National Park. Chilo is the ideal launch pad into this pristine wilderness area, which forms part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Peace Park, linking Gonarezhou with Kruger National Park in South Africa and Limpopo National Park in Mozambique.

Day 10-11: Presidential Elephants at their best

Hwange

Ivory Safari Lodge is located within a small private concession about 20 minutes’ drive to the Hwange Main Camp entrance to the Park. Accommodation is in ensuite ‘Robinson Crusoe’ style tree house which overlooks their waterhole and is flood lit at night. All Meals included.
