Waterberg Wilderness Lodge

The buildings of Waterberg Wilderness Lodge lie sheltered in a long valley in the midst of the Waterberg massif. Built from red Waterberg sandstone they are nestled under enormous old trees. In the mature, well-kept garden with its two pavilions and the bricked-in spring water basin lined by giant bamboo the atmosphere is idyllic and there are many cool and shaded spaces. In the afternoon guests are welcome to have a piece of cake in the tea garden. The place for a drink after sunset is the campfire or the fireplace at the bar. Fresh dishes from the typically Namibian farmhouse kitchen are served for dinner (set menu).

The lodge is part of the private nature reserve Waterberg Wilderness, offering a world of experience at the Kalahari’s table mountain.

Guests can join guided plateau hikes, honeymoon sundowners, rhino drives, game tracking tours or cultural tours to Hereroland. They can have a walk back into the past on the History Path (battle of Waterberg 1904) and explore the valley of Waterberg Wilderness on five nature trails.
