Kamanjab Rest Camp

Kamanjab Rest Camp is situated only 3 km west of the town of Kamanjab, in Namibia’s northwestern Kunene Region, in an area known as Damaraland.
The rest camp’s 4 guest bungalows en-suite and 8 clean, well-equipped camping sites with communal facilities are situated amidst a shade-giving Mopane Tree forest and provide comfortable overnight options to suit different travel budgets.
A central Lapa housing reception, restaurant and bar, as well as communal barbecue spots with shaded seating and tables nearby, and a small splash pool complete the facilities.
Kamanjab Rest Camp is surrounded by a leafy private game sanctuary with free roaming giraffes, zebras and antelopes. Well maintained hiking trails lead to a Sundowner spot on a vantage point overlooking these vast and remote landscapes.
All local activities are self-guided and offered free of charge.

Kamanjab Rest Camp is ideally located on the intersection of various ‘Arid Eden’ Routes that allow visitors to explore northern highlights, such as the Western Etosha National Park, the Palmwag Consession, a Himba Project, a Cheetah Conservation Farm, and various rock art sites, during half- & full-day self-drive excursions.
This rest camp is also an ideal base from where to visit Namibia’s famous Kaokoveld and sightseeing attractions along the Kunene River, Namibia’s northern border shared with Angola, on “Arid Eden’ Routes.
