Elephant Valley Lodge

Chobe is home to the largest population of wild elephant in the world. This is estimated to be approximately 120000 individuals. Elephant Valley Lodge lies in the corridore between the Chobe National Park in Botswana and the equally impressive Matetsi wildlife conservancy, south of the Kazangula border crossing and within the Kasane Forest Reserve. Sturdy acacias reach high above the camp, forming large canopies of shade, under which you will find 20 custom built meru style luxury safari tents. Given the concentration of elephant in this wildlife sanctuary, the camp is fenced and ensures peace of mind whilst not limiting the cacophony of night sounds as you drift off to sleep after an exhilarating day of game viewing. The camp can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests in spacious and tastefully furnished tents, each features en-suite shower and toilet as well as tea and coffee making facilities, fan and mini safe. Included is a family tent, of which the second bedroom is ideal for children. All guest areas are focused on the active waterhole, these include the game viewing hide, lounge and dining areas. The activity at the waterhole provides an almost endless precession of animals. The lodge is unique for several reasons and amongst these is the fact that it is situated in the game rich reserve affording guests wonderful sightings of big game during the periods between our daily safaris. Freshly prepared meals are served in a variety of locations including the dining deck, a bush venue or the boma located at the waterhole. Activities include daily safaris and boat cruises into the Chobe National Park. The unique lodge location provides guests with game viewing opportunities throughout the day and night. Morning boat cruises along the Chobe River will give guests a close encounters with the elephants going for a morning drink and afternoon game drive will let guests experience all the other sights and sounds in both the Chobe and Kasane Forest Reserve.
