Innovatively designed, each chalet looks out on its own garden planted with seasonal vegetables. Sunflowers following the travelling sun peep out between verdant spinach and beetroot. Greet the zany scarecrows and thank them for their work. The architects, visionaries and landscape artists have created an enchanting setting.The labyrinth of walkways spirals in to a spacious and cheerful central area. A wash of fresh green brightens the interior as does the heart-shaped Mopane leaves stencilled throughout the lodge.Within a lion’s roar of Khorixas en route to the famed Twyfelfontein engravings, and not far from the Burnt Mountain, and Organ pipe rocks, Damara Mopane Lodge incorporates the spirit of Damaraland and the Damara people.
